SQ Hds312 or New type R?

About to step my build up from 1 12" to 2. Currently running a 2011model type r but am looking to get 2 of the newer ones or 2 of the soundqubed hds312's.

How do they stack up in the real world(ive read the specs 50x over) ? They will be running at 2 ohms on a pair of alpine mrx m110's and my electrical is in good order.

Assuming price is equal, I'm looking at which one performs better I.e. sq and overall loudness

They will be going in a prefab enclosure, ported at 36hz, 1.8 cu ft per chamber

Id make a baffle cut out for a pair of tens. Easy and cheap to do,jig saw, some screws and 5/8-3/4 MDF,and patience, wrap or paint, take like 2 hrs,and have a closer specked chamber for an SQ HDS310. Just my 0.02 cents with this box done cheaply, and sound decent

Ok, so say I had to run them in the prefab for a couple months, but come summer I could build a custom enclosure, say 2.25 cubes @ 34hz. Would I be better off in the long run with the sq's?

What would you recommend the Type R's go in, out of curiosity? I was looking at 2 of them for a ~3 cube ported box around 37hz. I saw on their site 1 cube to 1.5 cubes is recommended with 1.71 cubes per sub optimum..

Is this the SWR-12D* you're talking about?
