splicing loc or high level input question

Well I think the Monsoon is high level inputs...BUUUT just to be safe do it after the factory amp, make sure you get a LOC that has a high voltage operating region, since that factory amp will rise the voltage higher than the normal HU...I have seen some of those crappy ones catch fire in this situation

There are factory woofers. They are 6X9's lol but I guess better than not having any. I just didn't know if the amp changed what the actual bass was in the song to protect the small woofers from low frequencies.

Generally 6x9 cones can handle low freq. especially the cheap paper ones they make from the factory...it just sounds kind of funny so I don't think they would have filtered the channels

My Buick had a factory amp that definitely filtered frequencies before sending them to the speakers. The 6x9 "subs" got all the midbass but I'm not sure if it was a simple lowpass or if they filtered out sub bass. 6x9's don't play 30 Hz very well..

Tap into the sub woofer outputs and give it a try. If you can't get the deep bass, then switch to the input side. GM feeds those amps with high level speaker signals, on twisted pairs no less.
