Speaker wires on harness?

Are the speakers wires on the harness necessary to connect if I have everything being run off an amp and connected to the RCA outputs?

These are the wires I'm talking about (those in the bottom box):

I'm trying to free up room behind the headunit.

No. Not at all, but make sure that they can't short on something

If its running off an amp then you dont need to connect the speaker wires, make sure you wrap them like he said so the wire doesnt touch anything.
