Speaker wires on harness?

Are the speakers wires on the harness necessary to connect if I have everything being run off an amp and connected to the RCA outputs?

These are the wires I'm talking about (those in the bottom box):

I'm trying to free up room behind the headunit.

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
