speaker wire size

Just trying to figure out the optimal speaker wire gauge to use.

Running two 15" Skar EVL-15 DVC 4ohm
and a SIA 3500D amp... plan on running at 1 ohm ~ 2500w rms

I got 8g on my 15's off a smart3k mainly because it would fit

I'm running 12 gauge x 4 in each sub. 2 12s wired to 2500w @ 1ohm.

I had a hard time understanding the electrical on speaker output.

Do amps put out AC voltage?
How do I calculate / measure how much voltage and current my amp puts out?
