Speaker/Tweeter Question

I have a 99 Chrysler 300m and it had the Inifity sound system factory installed. So im left with 5 2.5" tweeters that are all blowing out because my amps are too powerful.

It was suggested to me to get Earthquake Screamers, but to save money I went with the JBL GTO607C Component system.

The front door speakers fit nicely, but the tweeters dont seem to fit in my rear doors. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to custum fit tweeters, or know of a good 2.5" tweeter brand that would fit well?

Also, where does the crossover go? And is there even that much of an advantage to having the crossover.

Try these, http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=45_241_283&products_id=8364 I have the 2'' version in my Intrepid. I have them playing 300 and up. They sound bad if you send to much bass to them. Your system is all 2ohm, I do not know what effects that will have. I had the midline system, I am in the middle of f'ing it up adding amps and subs.

300 meaning 300 watts?

Not 300 watts, sorry about that. 300hz is the frequency. You can get some bass blockers.
