Speaker terminal question

I am building a box right now for my camaro. The box will hold two 12" subs, and I plan on running the subs in parallel. The plans for my box have 2 holes for speaker terminals, but because i am running my subs mono in parallel, will I only need 1 set of terminals?

You can wire the subs together inside the box and then go to a single set of terminals or you can wire each sub to its own set of terminals and the wire them together outside the box. The only benefit to the second method is that you can reconfigure the sub wiring without taking the subs out of the box.
