Speaker problem

i have 2 "12 kicker L7 solo barics and a KX1200.1 and when i turn the volume up loud the speakers cut off, does anyone know what could be causing this?

What kind of supply voltage do you have right before it cuts out?

true, what's the voltage at the amp when you hammer on it, and is it wired to a final 1 ohm, and not a .5 ohm for sure??

yea it's wired at 1 ohm but i have to check the voltage on it before it cuts out but if it is the voltage what could that mean

make sure yor wired right, check ground and voltage

I don't know what kind of protection circuitry that particular amplifier has....but it could be that you have the gain or some type of bass boost set too high.

the KX12001 will allow you to max the gain on the amp and run it via remotely. The over and under volatge protect is installed, so it could be because of under voltage, or wired wrong. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

it just started doing this and i noticed that the amps just shuts off completely when this happens, it doesnt go into protection mode

You say the "speakers" cut off. Is it the subwoofers or the interior speakers that cut off?

it's the 12"s that cut off, so it's the power wire?

ok there's sumthing else, when the engine is off u can turn it up loud and it wont cut off only when you are driving it does this
