I have a '90 BMW 325i which is very small by today's standards, and I've been debating myself on how to resolve my midbass issue. My setup was done a couple years ago on somewhat of a budget, but I'm looking to improve my sound. It sounds pretty good, but I'm lacking a lot of midbass which I'm finally getting around to addressing.

My current setup:

JBL P660c components powered by a PPI BK210.2

Sundown SA8v2 powered by a Zapco ST-850XM

Right now, the crossovers are mounted on the rear deck with wires running to front with mids mounted in kick panel and tweeters mounted on A-pillar. Less than optimal, I know. But there's no room up front for crossovers.

What I was thinking was:

Move the JBLs to the rear deck

Buy *something* to fit the kick panel that gives better midbass (not decided here, open to suggestions!)

But, I wanted to consult people way smarter with acoustics than I am before I did so.

Should I keep the too-big JBLs where they are and put some better midbass speakers in the rear deck or go ahead and move the JBLs to the rear and mount whatever I get up front?
