Has anyone installed, owned, or listened to these components. A local has a couple NIB sets for $175 and I wanted to get some opinions and information before I buy. I don’t need the crossovers. Does anyone have any suggestions for a similar (cost, sound) 3 way set. Even different speakers 6.5, 3, tweets mix and match etcetera.
https://www.parts-express.com/tc-60...one-woofer-with-foam-surround-4-ohm--299-2196 and get some tweets bet u be happy (some guys with big systems here like these) and u save $$$..
That set has won a few sound quality competitions so yeah i'd fk with it if I were you and want something SQ oriented.

If you don't need the crossovers I'd buy individual speakers from partsexpress.
$175 is a good price though and I like those tweeters. Excellent width, easy placement.

I found several combinations that are cheaper than the ppi 3 way comps. Do you think the ppi comps would sound better than a combo of dirrerent 6.5’s, 3’s, and tweets?

Nah, then you can get exactly what you want.

I know cost doesn’t always equal better, but these are like $9 each. Maybe they are worth a try. I just don’t need anymore audio collecting dust. LOL
I already have 4 Lanza opti 6.5’s, and 4 Crescendo 10’s from a previous build. I don’t want to hack up my sons car to fit equipment. It was cool when it wasn’t a daily driven vehicle, but he will be going to college in a year and we want it to look stock if possible. Less for THIEVES, THIEVES AND LIARS to see. There’s nothing worse than a thief stealing your system!
