speaker comparison

This may be a dumb comparison, but...

I had a 2008 Civic with an Alpine 9887 ran active with a JL 300/4 running a pair of Rainbow Profi CS265 and a JL 1000/1 running a 13W6V2. That was the best sounding car I've even owned (not the loudest, but the best sounding).

I sold the car to my parents and and took out the Alpine but left the Profi's in there ran passive with the 300/4. I'm driving a 98 Tahoe now and bought a set of ID CTX65CS ran active with another 300/4. I can't get them to sound anywhere close to the Profi's. So, my question is: Is it possible to compare the ID CTX65CS's to the Rainbow Profi CS265's? Or is it just the vehicle's size difference that is messing with me?

Cliffs: Are ID CTX65CS somewhat comparable to Rainbow Profi CS265?

there's lots of different variables. the speaker placement, door size, and vehicle size could all vary the sound of the speakers.

You can't expect a system in a civic to sound the same as a system in a Tahoe even if you have the same gear.

The larger vehicle will have different acoustics and transfer functions among other things.
