You're looking for something called a high pass filter...commonly called "bass blockers". The frequency that's listed for them is going to be (roughly, it's not exact but gradually slopes) the lowest frequency that will be let to the speaker; everything higher will be allowed to pass.

 
If you want to calculate it yourself, Googling for a simple 1st-order HP Xover should give you the value for the electrolytic cap you need.

Yes. Only thing is the leads will be encased in resin. Keep in mind that this is an assumption.

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
