Hi,
Has anyone got any advice on speaker cable gauges for these 2 amplifiers please?
I'm running a CT-Sounds ct-1000.1D monoblock amp at 2 ohm (650 RMS) powering 2*12" Kenwood subs
and also a CT-Sounds ct-150.4D 4 channel amp at 4 ohms (150 RMS per channel)
Thanks!

If you're asking about Just speaker wire then...

Wire gauge is dependant on two additional factors, wire length and wire construction. I'm guessing at the length but assuming 6ft (1.83m) runs, 12 - 14 gauge twisted OFC copper should be more than adequate. In whatever gauge you decide, Found this on the Amazon UK site.

16awg for anything under 100w 12awg for 100-1500w 10awg for 1500-3000, and honestly you could push all gauges higher in wattage.

As far as the amp power input.
4awg ofc is max of 150amps
2awg is max of 200amp
1/0 is max of 300amp some can go to 350 safely

I would run 1 larger wire that has the ampacity requirements of both the amps fuse ratings combined. Then split the wire to smaller gauge wire for each individual amps fuse ratings.

In your case it might be overkill but I would run a minimum of 2awg since the 1000w mono will pull 100amps and the 150x4 will pull 60amps

I'm ballparking those numbers but if they are accurate you can see they put you over the 150amp max of 4awg to be split.

1/0 ofc knu or 2/0 ofc welding wire is usually fairly cheap and leaves you with headroom if you decide to upgrade later on

On the flip side I'm betting you could run an 8awg amp kit for the 4 channel and a 4awg amp kit for the mono block. Under no circumstances would I personally go smaller.

And please make sure the ground is a nice tight bolted to bare metal connection.

Thanks for your input. I'm trying to make sure I do the wiring correctly during the restoration of my 1971 Maserati ghibli SS.
