Speaker audio question

If i upgrade all 4 of my door speakers to a aftermarket and throw a amp in o boost them will that sound really good and add extra bass? or is a subwoofer 100% needed

from my limited experence i think that it depends on the speakers, I have full kenwoods and they can't bass to save their life. The guy told me that and it doesn't create too big of a problem since i have a woofer for the lows. So ask around which speakers produce bass well, or just get a 10" sub to add that extra kick.

with a good set of comps, you will get really good midbass, but sub-bass needs a subwoofer
