Soundqubed vs sundown

Do 2 hdc4 18s on 4k for the pair. Just be prepared to rattle every picture off the wall.
Have you tried the hdc4, just curious? I know they move some air but they don't seem like they get a lot of spl? I might be wrong I don't know I'm just assuming by watching youtube videos.

I'm not using them for home theater, it's gonna be for music. I don't watch movies that often.
Home audio does not mean just movies... I have no idea if they even sell receivers out there that will put out 4k rms. You could also look into running TC Sounds gear since it is well suited in home audio setups. The box is key in your home because you will not have an easy or cheap time finding powerful receivers.

I'll look into the tv sounds, and I'll be using a pa amplifier for it not a receiver. :)
lol at the hdc4 only handling 2k max...... the hdc4 can handle WAY more then 2k rms.... id go with the HDC4 myself they are way underrated. but the x's are good as well.
@mlstrass; on here runs 2 3500.1s strapped to 1 hdc4 18" daily
Are the hdc4 dual 1ohm posts?

The hdc4 can take a good deal of power and get rather loud while doing it. For the price, very hard to beat. They perform very well and do get low.
Well what I'm thinking about is doing is getting the qubed's and see how I like them and than eventually get the x-18's and see which one I prefer and eventually sell one pair or somehow use the other pair for a different setup. But are the hdc4 1 ohm post or 2 ohm?

This thread is full of fail. OP is lost in some parallel dimension or something....Everything said about those being crap in home subs is not a lie and only the highest of end HT run anything over 3k. I run two revo 15's with about 1k total and they will destroy anything hanging or on a shelf and flex the second floor when playing music. If you want that kind of power and those kinds of subs then buy another car. This is getting tough to bear. If you aren't going to use peoples advice on here that this is a bad idea then please stop posting about your setup idea.

THANK YOU. Couldn't have said it better myself.

Depending on the age of your house and wiring used you won't be able to get that much power to them no matter what you do, unless you hook right into the main power line to your house which utility companies typically don't appreciate. Either you're going to be popping breakers constantly, burn your house down, or get cops sitting outside your house constantly so they don't have to drive from the station constantly because you're an asshole who your neighbors hate.

500 watts is poop to me, I'm a bass addict, I need more than that. I am currently usually a Logitech z623 and it *****. I need something to get low and get loud, that's where sundown and soundqubed come into play. And neighbors and police can **** off //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

I'm thinking about running a behringer inuke nu12000 or a peavey ipr2 7500 to get around 4k-12k now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Post this on a website where more than a few people know how to make a really good home audio system. Join DIYAudio forums and they will pick you apart for ever posting something like this. Most of them will either tell you to go with highly efficient drivers or ones with low distortion that can dig low. I would highly suggest looking into making a tapped horn for what ever woofers you go with. Please though get real and understand that neither of those woofers will make a realistic home audio setup.
