ok, so a friend of mine just got the brutus in the comparo(ironically), its cold here in the upper midwest, so it might be a bit, but ill try to run his amp on my subs and see whats what

Dude lol many of the top knowledge posters HAVE chimed in and said the comparison was BS you just don't want to hear it. I think Hifonics is a great buy for what you get and have stood up for them before... FOR BEING A BUDGET VALUE..

I know plenty of people running one or the other including me and none of us would drop our SQs/AQs and run screaming to nuthug a Hifonics your just stupid if you want to think they are equal. For what you get sure they are a good value would I run my MD's off a hifonics to save $70 hell no.

i'd get em used and save several hundreds instead, more money for car deadening/bracing and box experimentation which is the important part of getting loud. I dont give a flying F*ck about having swag names, if the amp makes decent numbers and get you loud then so be it. Only thing that'll beat that value is a used Brazilian which is my next stop.

In any event, I can say that I'm nowhere near regretting getting the sq2200. Its a mother of violence!

i feel everyone has given hifonics a bad rep for which certain lines ****...the new Zeus doesn't live up to its old skool fame. but as far as the brutus everyone runs them with no problem. the ones who do have the issues most of the time are clipping the so hard its crazy. seeing this has changed my plans since i was about a week from buying a sq.. ill past... now i was actual looking for the sq to be under rated like most people have told me me and this test proved that. you show people a video and the are still trying to find ways to uphold the brand they clearly see its not what it says it is. but where were you before the vid ; going off of word of mouth. for me i dont mind getting the hifonics. actual it makes me happy to see this test when most people said that the amp would put out 2k.

a hifonics, audioque is pretty much the same thing and quality. but to completly honest, some of the loudest systems i heard were on regular hifonics brutus amps, all you gotta do honestly is take a piece of wood and cut out a bottom,cut out 2 holes and attcch fans on it, then just cut a 2x4 and glue it on the wood to give the fans air, i did that with brutus amps and they never went into protect mode again lol. just dont lose the sheet metal to it so when u sell it,i used just regular cauling as glue because it scrapes off better. i had a crunch prza 1500 it was a longer black model crunch and a blue 1500and and a crunch pza 2000 after you fix the stupid over heating problem, ull have it for years, sittt my crunch was a 2003 or 2005 model. crunch prza 1500. and my blue one i think was a p1 or p model, the pza 2000 ****** gave me problems ******* junk the pza ones are. plus if your new to amps, look into a amp with EXTERNAL fusing because if u happen to ground something, you have ur amp fuses and ur power fuse.. ive done it myself, grounded the mother ****** termainals backwards and walked away from it, went back with a scrwe driver to tighen the terminals. ****** was smoking, ripped out the wire by hand ,whipped it on the ground and dumped baja blast on it, **** the bord was black.. good ol maxxsonics still chucks away lol.. dont by the newer fancy crunch amps there complete junk, a crunch 3050 is enough power to run a pair of just average 15s, like some 2.5 inch coils subs like typr rs and SA . if you dont fix the overheating itll go into protect mode in about 15-20 min, youll be driving down the road ,loud litt up and boom....RED LIGHT ... PROTECT ..PROTECT.... ((( stupid *** ******* amp,******* over heating junk)) attach the fan, itll run until the fuses blow, and that happens when you reverse the polarity on it

newer hifonics amps **** . buy the crunch PRZA series ive ran a 1500 sundown, i mean the sundown didnt get as warm but i mean the crunch still bumped, for a 1500 that is. and dude a crunch is like 120 bucks

It didn't do 2k it did 1200.

im no nuthugger of either brand, that being said i have owned a brz for around 8 years sold it 2 years ago the thig did rated on music guaranteed and ot is still running strong to this day.... they last for the money spent! 75 dollars might not seem much but it adds up im a **** penny pincher, just my. 02 cents
