Sounddeadening, have a few questions

I have just pulled all interior pieces out of my trunk, removed my rear seats, and that foam stuff under the seats. I am fixing to put B-Quiet Ultimate down.

Two questions:

1.Do I need to put that foam insulation-like stuff back?

2.The rubber flap vent in the trunk that lets air out, should I: take out the vent and leave the hole open, take out the vent and close the hole off, or just leave it as is and ignore it (even though it flaps like crazy with low volume)?

Thanks.

Anybody out there? I figure I can forget about the foam stuff, but I'm still not sure about the flap vent. I've still got more to do before I have to make a decision, but I am curious to hear from you others that have sound deadened your whole vehicle. Thanks.

I would put the foam insulation back. It's a the oem version of sound damping. As for the other question I couldn't tell you. I have never had the pleasure of working on an alero. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
