whats up i just bought 15's from my friend there the sound spliter rl-ps i think and i went to go see how loud i was and i got 143.4 db's and the guy said my box had to big of a port and it was tuned at like 30hz... hey also said that i should go and seal the box and he said it would be louder is that true... the box is a i think 6 or 7 cubic feet box just plz help me out here

for him to sy that he needs to go eat some boogers

and drink some doodle juice

put the 15 in 4 cubes tuned to 32hz and u will be fine

ok my friend thinks he is some bad a$$ with his boxes i think we measured over 80 square inches of port is that too much... just as an example i can't really hear or feel the low bass all you can hear is the box freaking ratttling what do i about that???

Definetly don't listen to this guy. Ported boxes are more efficient if sized and tuned right. If your box is what you say it is as in cubic feet and tuned to 30hz it's perfect for those. Now if your just looking to get a higher number on a meter tune your box higher. The only withdraw with that is it's not going to sound as good on music.

see but the only downfall with this box is its not separted... like i mean the subs don't have a divider in the middle of the box... which i mean its loud as hell but like i said it dosen't hit low notes all that well... and who yall recomend that i put a divider in the middle of the subs???

IF YOU NEED AN ENCLOSURE LET ME KNOW AND YOU CAN JUST PICK IT UP Sorry for the caps.........But if that combo is working i say stick with it. I run a sealed enclosure, but even SQ guys will tell you that ported has more Output(louder).
