There's a little more to it than just cutting off some of your port. You also have to keep in mind port area. So get in touch with Mike @ soundsplinter and ask him how much port area they work best with and then go from there.

if his box is really tuned to 30hz, I say leave it that way.

OP - just leave that box alone, or find a way to brace it more. Forget all this talk about higher tuning.

Higher tuning sounds like *** with the RL-P's. I tried several tunes when I had a pair of 15's and 32Hz was the highest that still sounded good...
