Sound deadener

dammm 57 pages...
well i skipped to the end to see what was what. the only thing i got was........

"The top 2 after testing were Sounddeadenershowdown's CLD tiles followed by KnuKonceptz Kolossus 100mil with Kolossus being the overall best bang for your buck"

would love to know were the q-mat is in the list, as thats what i have in my truck.

when i get bored ill read more of it..

thanks.
yep SDS Tiles, STP Atlantic, and Knu Kolossus

Thats for deadening. For flex control, I'd go with tantric vibraflex
ok... did not know there was flex control stuff. i figured it was the same.

well i have about 40^ft of q-mat.

did both doors inside and out.

did inside on tailgate. need to do the outer tailgate but have to finish the welding/grinding.

put 1 sheet inbetween each roof rib. may just have to put more on.

i need to put some of the inside rear panels.

and what i put on the roof did help but.....

thats why i decided to ask here...

really dont want to do wood. only if i decide to do a wall. then ill do wood on roof.

Its the same but the density and thickness is over the top. One layer is like two layers of other deadener So two layers of tantric will be basically like plywood/metal bracing.

ya was reading about that stuff and dammm that stuff is crazy thick.

but looks like i cant get that stuff, so the next best thing is the Skyhigh at 120 mil.

or knu at 100 mil.

SO is there a difference between just standard deadening and doing flex control? should i be looking for something completly different from the rest of the car to do the roof?

temporary solution for your current situation is basic deadening, dont have to go crazy, the stinger will work fine. However as your system gets bigger and bigger, You'd want flex control over basic deadening. Most 160 db cars fiberglass the body of the car to make it stiff along with deadening, stripper pole bracing etc..
