Sound Deadener: What to expect?

I got a roll of raamat coming in tommorow and I plan to seal off my doors and deaden them along with my trunk lid/floor. So what should I expect from this I know alot of people say it improves midbass response but will it also clean up the sound as well because the flimsy sheet metal isn't resonating because of the bass? Also right now I have my crossover for my comps set at 100hz/12db. Also on some songs when I turn the volume up the midbass distorts the midrange. Any possibility deadening will help this?

Yes, expect several deep gashes on fingers and consider having some band aids on stand bye if your a wuss and use stuff like band aids.... My personal pref is when i deaden a vehicle i cut myself and then just use a scrap to hold the cut together... And yes i have done this once when i was bleeding badly from a sound deadener cut!

You must be Chuck Norris.

People always say youre going to cut your hands up deadening...ive got a bulk pack of dynamat extreme and 2 rolls of raamat so far in mine (and 5 gallons of spectrum sludge, but trying to cut yourself with that...well, takes a special person) and might have gotten cut once while deadening, and that was from jagged sheetmetal...I guess im just not doing it right..? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
