sooo a depressing install night

Well after my 2nd redesign on my box since the 1st was off by a bit....the 2nd design didnt fit either!!!!!!! god **** if the box would have been 1inch shorter in height it would slide in and not get caught. soooooo now im back to the store on tuesday to pick up more mdf board......3rd times a charm right? lol

it seemed like the design would slide in and fit well but i shoulda made it smaller in height. not making that mistake again.

I had this problem before... we drew lines and used a jigsaw to cut an inch off the top so we could fit it.

my wall was 1" too tall and we had to unscrew the sides, take it out, and trim an inch off. it sucks, but whats gotta be done, has to be done. lol.

well i dont want to take apart the box, cut it up and add new pieces on for the 3rd time. so im just going to start from scratch once again.... im just going to build 2 small boxes 1 for each sub and port them. would give me room to put the amp in the middle to

yea, this is a good saying to work by, its always easier to measure twice or three times than to remake a box again, not bustin on ya but hope you learned from it

Not tryin to be a dick, but after the first time it didn't fit you would have measured the opening where the box was getting hung up on.

Better than cardboard, spend like $2 for a few 1x2's that are 8' long. Make up a test box, that will just be a frame using the outside box dimensions, but it won't flex and will let you know for sure just what will fit.

If you're doing a box that's deeper than the actual trunk opening it's pretty much impossible to measure just how deep you can build it and be able to angle it in. Build a quicky test box with the 1x2's to be sure. Good luck...
