Someone wanna build me a box?

So what kind of subs sound better in that box? I know the first thing you're gonna say is probably sundowns or audioques or something lol. I've only got a 500w rms amp though. Is there some 250w rms speakers that would hit the lows a little better maybe that aren't TOO expensive (i.e. less than $100 per sub)?
You have to pay to play man. Incriminator Audio 187s can be had pretty cheap..

Specs on them...

300w RMS and require 1.4-2 cubes ported w/ 15-20 inches of port

Hmm...well my amp is 300w rms @ 4 ohms and 500w @ 2 ohms, so could I even hook two of those up and get it down to a 2 ohm load with those subs?

No, you could only run 1 at 2ohms. Sell your amp and get something that does around 800 at 1ohm at let that shit wang!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Maybe someone else, but I won't. Unlike most on here, I actually consider all brands whether they're mainstream or only 2 days old. What's more important is what type of sound you're looking for? Pure SQ? SQL? Budget SPL?

Budget SPL. But uhh I threw my Fosgate P1S410s back in there, and they're slammin now. They require a lower volume for an enclosure and I guess the volume wasn't large enough to sound real great with the memphis subs. Note that these fosgates are 100w rms less than the memphis subs too.

Yeah...haha. But I've heard the volumes posted on the memphis site are lower than what the subs actually need.

I have a question for all you box building folks:

I am having a hard time finding a good balance because of the music I listen to. Had a box built, but I'm not happy with it after a month. I love the rumble of my R&B and Gospel music, but I also like the hard hit on those days when I wanna hear some rock. I can't have a sealed and a ported box (can I?) since it has been ill advised. I have plenty of trunk space (Chevy Trailblazer 4-door). What are your opinions?

Driver: Infinity Perfect 10DVQ powered with a RF T-4002 bridged (512 watts RMS)

Yeah man!! LOL. I like em' as they're lightweight, look fine, and cheap. They actually work REALLY well as long as you aren't pushing more than 1200 wts rms through them. I have various terminals I offer to customers though. Anything with anything over 1k wts rms and I ALWAYS rec. gold plated terminals that accept up to 8 awg speaker wire in!

No, it's not the enclosure 4hz tuning difference from 34 to 30 isn't going to help you much for the lows. In fact, I'd go with the 34 since if you go lower, you're going to drag down your output until you get to the tuning frequency. You just want some better speakers, that's all. PRs just aren't outstanding woofers.
Good info there^^^^

I like the way this guy talks^^^//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

But yeah, the enclosure is perfect and I assure that. It's solid and ready for just about any high end 10's! Like suggested, those Memphis subs are a bit on the low end. There are tons of 10's that I'm sure would blow you away with around 500 wts rms per sub, maybe even less. RE SE's are a good "budget" loud/sql type sub along with the FI SSD copper coils. There are a ton of the out there...just have to do some research!!

I'll be glad to help you out bro as I have tons of high end subs laying around....everything from 8's, 10's, 12's, 15's and 18's. Only PAIR of 10's I have currently are a pair of like new in box Oz Audio Matrix Elite 10's! VERY nice subs as I'm sure others will tell you.

Email me if interested!
