Ok the HU came with a plug with wires of course. Their is a ground wire on it...and a ground wire on the wiring harness made for my car. The HUs wire is like twice the size of the other wires and its saying to ground it to the chasis...BUT the wiring harness has a ground wire as well. So what do I do? Black with Black or ground both of them or just ground the HU and leave the wiring harnesses black wire alone.

Kind of need a quick answer btw...

First time hooking anything up also. BUT directions are easy to follow...sort of lmao. Not soldering just twisting really good and using black tape. My solder doesnt work...

I prefer running my own dedicated ground.
So in other words hook the big long black wire to something and leave the wiring harnesses wire alone?

Dont just twist and tape. Atleast get butt connectors if you dont wanna solder.
Hm never considered that ty. Got some in the building. I will do that instead

Butt connectors and I've ALWAYS used the ground on the harness to the cars ground...never had a prob, and that's one thing I've done a ton of is installing HU's!

Butt connectors are so easy though, easier than heat-shrink IMO...Even though heat-shrink can make things look sexay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif
