Alright, this is driving me insane, i cant figure out the problem, i was on my way to work and my system shut off, so i turn it back on and everything was fine except the subs werent booming, so i pull over to check the amp and the amp is completey off, and all of sudden my door speakers make a wierd noise like a clipping noise, i turned it off, and turn it back on and its still clipping

i have checked all the fuses all the wiring everything, the battery is good, my problem is the amp i spent alot and i hope there is nothing wrong with it.

someone told me that it could be the deck and that it shorted out.

but why does it play music for awhile and start clipping again help me please.

any respnds are much appreciated,

thanks sergio

do you have the speakers running off the deck?

and the reason the subs shut off was probobally because of thermal protection.

btw my name is sergei as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

yes the speakers are running off the deck, they are stock speakers.

but how come my amp doesnt turn on anymore, this all happened yesterday

sounds like bad grounds and possibly bad RCA's as well. Could be speaker wire shorting too. Or since you live in the same state as me, and I know how hot its been.... the amp could have just cooked because of the heat.

What kind of deck is it?
the deck is an alpine.

bad grounds for the deck or the amp? yeah i might need to change my rca's. what does the speaker wire shorting have to do with the clipping. so you think my amp is done cuz of the heat //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif i hope thats not the case. should i take it in then? have them check it out?

Your amp will not die because of heat, if it turned OFF, not go into protect mode, then something else is happening. Recheck the fuses, if there is ANY sign of a black/brown spot then change them. You also might want to open up the amp and check the circuit board for any black spots. Get a DMM and check the remote lead for a 12v current, if there isnt one, then there is a problem with the deck (which I am betting 95% on.)

I highly doubt there is an RCA problem, that would not cause the amp to shut off. If you have the ability, hook the amp up in someone else's vehicle and see if it turns on, but this sounds like a HU problem. Pull the HU out, and make sure no wires are touching each other (that arent supposed to be.)

You don't know arizona.. or amps very well for that matter //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif. When most amps blow its either because of clipping or two low of an ohm load (which raises the internal temp and pops all kinds of things). So if it was wired correctly and he had it on during our summer time here (110 deg + //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/yumyum.gif.0556df42231b304b9c995aefd13928a8.gif ) then he very easily could have popped the caps internally. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crazy.gif.c13912c32de98515d3142759a824dae7.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
