someone just bet me 1000$ that..

Thread just went down I guess.. was probably deleted..

The guy said this though lol..

To be fair, I'd think it'd have to be a combo of spl and sq, considering most of the subs mentioned are purely spl subs and the w7 is actually an sq sub. But I'd still settle for raw db numbers, I'm still confident none of those in single 10" version could touch a 13w7. Got a grand you can put up front?

tell him that he has to use a single W7 (whatever size) and whatever amp(s) he wants. the sub has to be in the cargo area of the vehicle and the mic will be the TL and it will be sealed up on the passanger dash, as per dbdrag rules.

there is no sq as thats objective. highest number on the screen wins, no matter what. you can burp at 10hz or 80hz, it doesnt matter, just loudest # wins.

a 13w7 will stomp over ANY 10" sub. theres a monthly meet and this guy told me to bring a 10" sub of my choice to the meet and we'll have a little "sound-off" now i dont know what he means by that..but if hes talking #'s on the term-lab...im thinking of getting a 10" BTL or maybe a juggernaut. any suggestions?

Basically at the 13W7's full displacement (4” peak to peak, which I know it can do, at least the HTW7 can), it would take standard 10" cone moving 8.6" peak to peak to match it….. That will never happen.

Simple displacement here. (unless you're talking about high frequencies and under extremely high power levels where power compression and low indutance may lend to some other driver's advantage, then the 13W7 will best all 10's for output)

The only other chance you have is if you make the system different . In other words, a horn load 10" against a W7 in a sealed box, or something of that nature. Of course, if he does a very efficient system too, then bring cash.

In all seriousness. If you're seriously planning on taking him out: Get a pair of kicker L7 10's. Use one and have one for backup.

Stick to the traditional ported box. Depending in on your vehicle...load the port accordingly. Make sure you have a lot of power.
