I'll ask the question. Why the 1.25" extention on the port? It wont raise the tuning by much and will only cause port noise as far as I can see. IMO it would be better to just round the end and call it a day.

The difference is negligible (34.5 hz vs 35.2), but if someone wants it tuned between 33 and 34 hz, and they're quite adamant about it, then I see no problem at all. I already told him to round over everything as it is, so I don't see much problem with it.

I'd put $100 that he wouldnt be able to tell a difference between the extention of the two. Port noise...I have a gut feeling that the lower tuning will be noiser, but not by much I guess.
