some Orion 1200D questions

hi guys

i have a few questions about the Orion 1200D. i never owned one but heard a lot of great things about them.

1. i assume they are older , discontinued models. what year were they made in and when was the line ended?

2. i have (4) 12" DVC subs. i was thinking on buying (2) 1200D's. i know a place that has a couple. now currently, i have 2 subs on a JL 500.1. i have the other 2 subs wired on another JL 500.1

the subs are 500RMS each and wired for a 4ohm load. i wish they were all SVC subs so i could get a FINAL 2 ohm load for EACH amp, but i cant unless i wire ALL 4 DVC's together.

if i did that, what would be some options if i strapped the Orions together?

what load would the amps ve at if they are strapped together?

as far as my subs, i can get either a FINAL load of 2 or 0.5 ohm load if i wire ALL 4 together.

3. would you guys rather have (2) JL500.1's or (2) Orion 1200D's ?? I know its subjective, but just generally speaking if you had to take one or the other?

Yes they are discontinued,

and if you were strapping I would Strap the amps @ 2 ohms, That way each amp would see a final load of 1 ohm.

but my 4 subs wired together can only get a 2 or 0.5 ohm final load, not a 1 ohm load
