Some kind of problem with subwoofer

My problem:

Subwoofer doesnt work, there are no bad connections/shorts

brand new amp

1500 watt amp and 700watts at 4ohms PLANET AUDIO

i CHECKED THE SUB FOR OMH TEST AND IT MEASURES 4 OHMS AS IT SHOULD, I RAN A 9V BATTERY ACROSS TERMINALS REAL QUICK TO HEAR IT THUMPIN..BUT NO SCRATCHINESS..

PLEASE GIVE ME YOUR INPUT!

DO I NEED A CAPACITOR POSSIBLY?
