Soft parts make subs take more power.

a sub with higher sensitivity will generally be more sound quality oriented. Softparts include the sipders. having a massive amount of stiff spiders will decrease sensitivity but increase rms capabilities. having less spiders, soft or medium, will increase the sensitivity. the coil aswell plays a big role in sensitivity. a LMS coil is the best for achieving a higher sensitivity while being able to handle plenty of power

You should contact PSI. They can give you some nice soft parts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif
My girlfriend has some nice soft parts as well //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

Well let me mix her soft parts with my hard part and there will be a significant decibel increase //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

He's just saying that generally, SQ subs have a higher sensitivity because they do not have a stiff suspension. Generally a stiff suspension is not good for sound quality.....
i understand what he said, and i agree stiff suspension isnt good for sq, however i dont know that i agree higher sens=better sq

however, i pull up 2 random subs, AQ street duty 12" and exodus shiva. the aq has 88 sens, the shiva has 85

Sensitivity is not always measured at the same frequencies....
so? i know this?

ssa dcon 12" 89.1 1W/1m

exodus shiva-x2 12" 85.1 db/1W/1M

dont get me wrong i know its a sq sub, and sounds good, but does that mean the dcon sounds better?

lmao
