jus found out today my dad has 30 days left to live give or take a few........my divorce got denied today......and my ex wife is trying to fight me on joint custody of my son.....she called dhs on me today.......ohh the joy.....and to top it off.....i dont have another day off till sunday.....wish i could see my dad .....

 
man, tell the work that your dad is dying. im sure they will understand.

Wow that sux man, dunno what to say... I'm only 20 never had anything like that happen let alone at the same time dude. You'll find a way to cope. Hope ya getta meet up with your dad soon. My prayers are with ya. BTW where you work? Unless you are a CEO or some chit I'd say fok off and leave, but that's just me.

 
Man dude, i dont know you but im really sorry to hear that. I cant imagine what it would be like to lose my dad. Talk to your boss or something, im sure if you explain what is going on, theyll let you off. And if not, just go see your dad. You can get another job, even if its shit, but you should try to spend time with your dad. Sucks that stuff like this happens to good people, you seem like a really nice guy. I hope this all works out for you and i feel bad for you. Good luck with everything. Im sure everyones prayers are with you and i hope it helps.

 
Sorry to hear about all the crap. My prayers go out to you. As far as your dad goes, I dont know where you work but if you have a Human Resource officer, you need to get with them. There is such a thing as "Family Medical Leave". It is law and they can not fire you leagley. At least that is my understanding. Check it out. I hope the best for you.

x3 on the medical leave. The actual bill passed by Congress is the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and there (by law) should be a poster describing which specific situations it applies to posted somewhere in your workplace.

I certainly sympathize with financially not really being able to afford to be off of work but if you were to take off to tend to your father during his last days and you were terminated as a result that is a crime.

Aside from all of that, add my name to the growing list of those who will have you in their prayers in the midst of all this unfortunate chaos.
