well its like 39. when I had my L7 I built a box and it was tuned at 34 and I still had the same problem.

Why not build an enclosure tuned to around 30-32 hz? 39 isn't really made for daily driving, and comparing an elcosure you had for different drivers is only semi-relevent.

Way too high for DD IMO. How big is the box? What size woofer(s) Try to tune in the low 30's I didn't like my 15 past 30 in a small trunk car.

Some songs bump different than others. Try a bass mechanik cd. I have 4 of em. They hit harder than any music I listen to.

Sounds like your crossover is set too high. Whats LPF set at?

Yeah, I agree with the previous posters who said tune it differently. Build a 2.0 cubic ft. box tuned to 32 hz from Moe Lester's plans. I have my Type R 12" in one of his boxes with 600 watts going to it and its freakin loud, especially for a daily. It's actually much more than I could even stand for a long period of time, I had to go back to a sealed for awhile and take a break. Hope this helps your problem.
