Ok, I'm not sure what to think. On some songs it bumps hard and good but on other its just really loud and doesn't really bump too much. I know every song has different base lines. Maybe I am missing the point of subs, I don't know. When I had my L7 it was the same way. Can anyone help me?

Well, if you have them in a ported box, certain frequencies will be louder due to the tuning of the box. Also, tuning your HPF, LPF, bass boost (none), and gain will help to smooth it out some.

I did all that but some songs still are just loud as hell with no bump.

I know some songs has bass to it but its really quiet, like Mac Dre- Fellin myslef, it sounds like it has some but it doesn't pick it up on a sub...........post some of the songs that dont have bass so we can test them out

Just something general here for ya, the lower the note...the more the shaking.The more air moved, the more the shaking.Those might be right around your tuning freq., sub may not be moving all that much air there.

@ 20hz in my car with a R 15 you couldn't hear it that well but it shook the whole car and made my ears tingle from the pressure lol. Your experience is kinda the opposite. What box,car,tune?

same here they are loud, but no bump i have 2 PG ti's soon to be l5s or R's dont know yet.

Is your box ported or sealed? What is the tuning if it's ported?

Its ported. At first I had a prefab and it sucked. Then I built one but it sounds exactly the same. I had the same problem with my L7. Some soungs loud but no bump. My car is a 2004 Dodge Stratus.

What is it tuned to? Sounds like it's tuned too high.
