i am thinking of buying this for 175 shipped, DVC and was going to power it with this amp

http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/pro...?model=MRP-M850

i am going to put it in a sealed box, and i was SQ and accuracy i do no listen to rap strictly indie rock, i need tight accurate bass. will this meet my needs for the least amount of money

I would hold off a bit and look around with the price you are considering. There are other products out there that can outperform this for the dollar.

Best,

Mark

Actually thats a great sub for what you are looking for. In a sealed box, it'll be very punchy and have that impact you need for your indie rock. It also has tons of throw so it should get decently loud sealed.

Is that Tc 10 a good balance between SQ and SPL? I was thinking of getting one and sealing it myself. I only have 500 watts though. I keep hearing this may not be enough. For the same money you could get a tc1000 12 and go sealed on that. Not sure what would be better as I also only want 1 sub. a 10 or 12 that will get decent loud but sound great. Its my bday so I got the cc ready and just not sure what to buy.

Actually mark- I wouldnt hold off for very long at all, as they will be out of stock fairly soon. to the op- if that is the sub you want- it is far from a bad choice

haha nice one, yea as far as price vs sq in a sealed box it is better than the alpine type r i was going to get for about 80 since i have a best buy connection. for another 80 bucks is the tc10 worth it, as far as SQ is concerned in a sealed box
