Smart car 2005 model help please!

Hello guys,

I have a 2005 Smart Fortwo.
I’m looking to get a single din stereo, an alpine maybe?
As long as it has Bluetooth/aux connectivity I’m happy, however it seems I may need a subwoofer is this true?

would I get decent enough sound quality with just an upgraded stereo or shall I upgrade to speakers on both doors?

Or shall I have the dashboard taken out and have the tweeters/speakers on the top of the Dash upgraded too?

I’m very confused please recommend me a decent set up,
