Is there a moment in which the port area no longer matters if the box is very large?
I mess around with WinISD and tuning a box to 25hz for example would have the port be like 56 inches with around 15sq inches of port area.
Is there a limit where the port area for large boxes can be small as to not affect output yet keep the port as short as possible?
For example, if the box is big enough, could you get away with 7sq inches of port area rather than 14? I mean it's all relative to the subs cone area so there should be a limit to how much port area is actually necessary given the box size. I'm just wondering if the port area can be kept small to have the port length short enough.
