The only double dins I've ever seen with a removable faceplate is the higher end JVC's.

id love to get alpine, but they dont have good cheaper double din ones. all theres are like 700.

the first and last of those links is the one i suggested earlier. id love to get it, but my deh 4000ub is kind of a pain to control with its 1321561 options in one knob and would want this one to be more user friendly

I love the look of most of those JDM aftermarket HU's, but most of the less expensive models have only 1 or 2 sets of RCA outputs, so theres no crossovers.

If he just wants something to replace the broken stock unit, check eBay for OE units. For around $50 and he can get a working unit that wont require any custom installation. And if he really needs the AUX input, theres always a FM modulator. Definately nothing top of the line, but if he want to keep things simple and isnt going to do anything else to the system, that would be the best way to go.

between the pioneer 8000bt linked earlier and the alpine 9886, which is a better headunit? liek id rather a double din but if the 9886 is a lot better for the same price ill go with that. if it is better, what makes it that way?

Pioneer 80000 if you want a double din. Clarion DRZ if you are going single din.

which is the best? he can take single din if its way better HU for the price, but hed much rather double.
