Single capable amp needed to push 2 12" bone crushers.

Lol. Think of it as a distribution block. You have one input and two outputs but in the end it's all the same power supply. Those 2 sets of terminals are just a distribution block, but they only have one input. A single channel
I got you an my boss busting my **** balls today kam lol. So non of you hear have heard anything about this brand bone crusher at all? I cnt find much on YouTube Abt it nor the internet. I know it hasn't been out long. It can here last year an is fairly new to AUS

The amp has 2 channels not 1. 2 plugs 2 channels mate. U think I haven't wondered why it's labelled as pdx 1.1000 cause believe I did!! An yes you can run them at 4ohms if your using 1 channel on each of them[emoji25] but at the end of the day... I was experimenting.. I'm in new waters here an trying out new configurations.. Your input is valued mate.

Its a monoblock. It only has two pairs of speaker outputs to make it easier to wire multiple subwoofers so you dont have to do extra sodering and connections. All those wiring spots are internally bridged so no matter what it's 1 big channel by the end of the day. What you see is not what you should assume and people around you dont know any better either.

Lmfao.. None of those amps are even close to supporting my subs. These one that runs 1600rms... Whilst it is just about sufficient it will not last long it will get hot pretty fast.

the JL hd and rockford amps are a totally different beast. Not sure if your sub will handle them to be honest. Read up on box/impedance rise. Whatever 2000 rms amp you buy will still be weaker than the 1500bdcp in terms of power output purely due to box rise. When you are wired at 1 ohm you can expect to see 2-3 ohm power its physics all amps are subjected to that. The regulated internal power supply JL and rockford amps do the same power from 1-4 ohms. So you'll still get 1500 watts vs the 2000 rms amp only making 600-1000 watts after box rise.

As for the best way to proceed for you to get loud dude. Just get another identical alpine amp and run one amp to each sub at 2 ohms. ALSO what you said about shredder's box makes me believe that you have a pretty sh*tty pre-made box as well. If you really want to get actual performance out of those subs you need a properly designed custom ported box tailored to the speaker's electromechanical parameters and your vehicle's acoustics. Done right even on your current alpine amp those subs will slam hard, and not just take your breath away, i'm talking about windshield flex and hair tricks.

Invest in a multi-meter and learn how to set gains correctly as well because you will need to gain match the amps.

Never heard of this brand...
Subwoofers - Bonecrusher ™
Is this the exact sub you are running, TS?

They are dual 2 ohm voice coil subs, not dual 4. 2x 2 ohm dual voice coil subs can be run at a final load of .5 ohms or 2 ohms. As Im already getting a headache from trying to figure out what the heII you are doing, Im going to assume from the amp shutting off is that you had them wired to .5 ohms. Good news is that you can run them at 2 ohms, which is perfect for your amp. Someone will explain it to you. My head hurts....

OP claims he read 1 ohm at the amp before he hooked it up the first time... maybe they have coil options?.. IDK... he said dual 4 so I went from there... yes this is really getting to be an epic thread...

I'v considered getting an identical... But it's been discontinued an no Australian audio shop currently has one... Local an national. I'v searched for 2nd hand ones.. An nothing those pdx are very saught after.. So this is my only alternative. I checked some videos on that Rockford..... I am very impressed. Thanks for the advice #SHREDDER .

You better be SURE those are dual 4 ohm subs... go check if you would...

You stated that you want to find those subs limit... and you don't care if they die... well IF you have dual 4 coils that RF amp will probably deliver more than they can handle for any period of time... just don't expect much from a prefab box... LOL!.. and you originally thought that RF 1500 BDCP was insufficient... LMAO!.. if your gonna put that much power to them I'd seriously look into a box like others have said...

No... That is the bass battle series. That's not the one I have.
