Single capable amp needed to push 2 12" bone crushers.

Just bought 2 bone crushers. Specs are 800RMS @2000WATTS DEUL 4OHM. currently running them at 4ohms each with a pdx-1.1000. As an alpine fanatic alpine does not currently have a single amp capable of running these bad boys am I'm not too keen on having a 2 amp setup because of the issue of boot space. I'm not too when it comes to brands other than alpine as I'v just decided to re vamp my entire sound system an in need of a much bigger power supply.

Bone crushers...lol sounds like an off brand like what we have in the states.
I ran type R and X b4 this.... Then heard this brand in an audio shop... It fucked my ears up pretty good... An since it's new hear it is cheap to get people to try it out an I feel it's a **** great bargain at 150AUD an completely annihilates both type X an R.

Did they come with power recommendations?.. their site says nothing...

DUH... I read the first post...

No they didn't.... I'm making calculated guesses off the current amp I used running them at full power deul 4ohm but the amp cuts off an goes into protect mode so I concluded that 1000rms isn't enough to power them so I disconnected 1 sub an powered 1 at 2ohms an it pushed it really good no dramas.

Doubt very much it's 800 rms. I bet 1/2 that or even 500 in real world power/watts is safe to say with them.

You do realize pushing the one sub at 2 ohms is less power than 1 ohm right?

And I know for a fact that it isn't a power issue..0 Gauge power an ground cables all my connections are solid. 100ah AGM battery 100amp alternator.

Yes I do... But you do realise alpine does not accommodate for 1 ohm in any of their amps right? I'm guess what!? I'm looking to run 1 ohm.... I did a 1 ohm setup with the pdx 1.1000 on my type R.. An it goes into protect mode split seconds after firing it up.

I think that Alpine is a 2 ohm stable design... IDK for sure tho... how are the subs wired?.. parallel, series/parallel... what final load are you putting to the amp?

Currently the final load is 4 ohms each.. The amp has 2 channels. 500rms each at 2ohms...an when I did wire them at 2 ohms it wouldn't allow me to go pass a certain volume or it would cut off.

If you're sure they will take the power... and want to go to 1 ohm... there is always this....

IDK about shipping to Australia tho...
