Single capable amp needed to push 2 12" bone crushers.

You need 1500-2000w @1 ohm. When you get your head out of your azz and figure out that 2 dvc 4 subs wire at 1ohm. Come back and thank me.
I have two dvc 4 subs @1ohm in my truck right now on 1500w btw
No mercy eh... Just unleash that furry on the newbie. [emoji22]

That's a 1st. I'v never heard that b4 but I am taking it all in as it comes. I'v never owned a 1 ohm amp b4 an looking 4ward to seeing what they can do.

Your amp is a 1 channel but it is only 2ohm stable. That is why when you wire at 1ohm (unintentionally) it is going into protect. So when you change it to 4ohm (what you thought was 2) the amp does fine, but it is underwhelming because @ 4 ohm you are probably only getting 500w from the amp. So you have the wrong voice coil configuration for your Amp. You need a mono block that is stable @1ohm. Unless you find one that can do 1600w @4ohm which would be a beast and super expensive.

Put an ohm meter on each positive output, itll show a closed circuit. Kam is correct, mono=1 channel. Theres two outputs to facilitate multiple subs

Believe me, it has one Channel. That's what mono block means Mr know it all. Omg you have no idea what you are talking about. You cannot wire a single dvc 4 ohm sub @4 ohm, trust me. Your final load was not 2 ohm it was 1 ohm and that is the problem.
2 sets of outputs doesn't mean two channels. Believe me, it fools a lot of people who have no idea what they are doing... Like you.
He was using one vc on each sub if im not mistaken

That RF amp on those subs in the proper box should do well if those subs deliver... That is one he** of an amp for those subs IMO... good choice...

I did that on the day I installed in the car an yes it did read 1ohm....an I did know that my current amp would go into protect mode I just got Gullable an hoped for the best... On another note.. I used 1 channel of the am on 1 sub terminal an the other channel on the other sub terminal so for now I'm currently running 1 terminal on each sub.. Only way to get em running till that Rockford arrives.

I follow a guy named Elliot from Australia on instagram, they do good work. I'm pretty sure he said his go to amp in AU is the pioneer 9601. It's 1200w @1ohm as it's underrated. No subsonic filter tho, that's a deal breaker for some.

You didn't run one channel on one sub, and the other channel on the other... You only have 1 channel... You could wire both subs to the same terminal, or each sub to their own terminal and it literally makes no difference. They are on the same channel either way because there is only one channel lol.

Not gona happen I'm not a pioneer person way way too cliché. People around here are starting to pull away from it cause they Dnt last especially their speakers. Garbage.

The way that you put it is gona be very difficult for me to get used to... When ppl here see I have 2outputs but I say 1..... It's gona do my head in.

That's cool... My CAB has 2 positive speaker terminals and 2 negative... it's still a mono amp...

Lol. Think of it as a distribution block. You have one input and two outputs but in the end it's all the same power supply. Those 2 sets of terminals are just a distribution block, but they only have one input. A single channel
