SI Mag 15" x 2 - 9 cubes in Camry trunk - project psuedo-log w/ *PICS*

well i too saw the weather forecast.

it doesnt look good.

supposed to rain pretty much all week.

i will talk to my parents and see if we can do it at our shop.

if not then it might have to be pushed back for better weather.

The design isnt finalized yet, but it should look something like this.

93 sq/in port tuned to 33 hz (but this will probably change)

right at 7.0 cubes with port and sub displacement

27 x 42.5 x 17 outer dimensions.

with a shit ton of bracing.

i will say it again, it should be an interesting build //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/eek.gif.771b7a90cf45cabdc554ff1121c21c4a.gif

Not a bad plan at all. Thats a load of bracing, should turn out nice.

Btw, since it sounds like you're going to be using birch. Is 1" going to be used? or aiming at 0.75"?

we are using 3/4" since that is the thickest available locally.

and that is why i am going with so much bracing.

there should be very little flexing going on in this enclosure.

Figured, I dont think it'll be an issue though. The amount of bracing you're throwing in there seems overkill anyway //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif Also if its birch you're using, it should be stiffer then MDF so I really wouldnt worry about it.

Looks good. I like the port in the middle actually //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I want to tune it to 30hz. That makes it too long to fit without turning. So, I was thinking about trying a 9.5"x9.5" square port that is 31" long, and having it along the bottom then curving upwards on the back wall to reach the 31" length. That will tune it to 30hz.

That also means the baffle will be connected at the top so it is once piece, don't know if that matters though. Seems like it might help stability a bit. Let me know if that will work ~Magick_Man~.

The hole through the back seats is about 12.5" by 35".

Oh yeah, the mag displaces .15.
