I understand where you coming from, but simply not voting because your trying to stick it to the man is ridiculous. Instead of that, we need to elect the leader which best suits our need of the time, because having 1 political view forever is a dictatorship. When the 2000 elections came around, I was not old enough to vote, but I would have voted for Bush. And I stand by President Bush though most of his decisions in his first term. I don't have much of an opinion about Bush in the 2nd term, because I just stopped caring. During this election, it was hard because we kinda got stuck between a rock and a hard place. So we took sides, and as a nation, choose Obama. Did I vote for Obama? Yes. Was it because I believed in everything he said and was fascinated by his skin color? No. I voted for him because I agree with him on about 70% of his ideas and I really don't like John McCain. As a person, I'm sure he is great, but he is not the leader we need, RIGHT NOW. Maybe in 2004, maybe in 2012. I don't know, but right now, we need stability, and not to go off fighting wars with Russia. I like McCain, but not right now.
Anyone can say whatever they want about President Bush, but I'm sure no one here really knows the full picture of every action he has made. WE elected, so we are responsible for him. I believe that he is a good man trying to make the best of what he has. Do I like him as a president? Not right now, but I can't pass judgement on him because I have no idea what he has to go through to do his job. A president's true legacy comes years after he has gone and we can see what he did without our passions and angers about our current predicament. I'm all for Obama because RIGHT NOW, I believe it is what we need.
One last thing. Who is the guy in the WONDERFUL conservative WSJ, who believes that our country will be quartered and taken by Canada, Russia, Mexico, and the European Unions. F him. Are we, as a country, kinda in the shi++er? Yes. Will we be cut up and sold to other countries. No. There is NO clear and unbiased news anymore. EVERYTHING is either left or right. It may be very very slightly left or right, but it is one or the other. No one just gives facts anymore, they give facts, opinions, have a argument over it, and move on. So whatever you read about any politician, there will be another article out there that just says the opposite of what you are reading. You can not get all your information from one source. Just my 2 cents.
