should i worry about impedence rise with a daily set up?

Hijack alert: I'm getting a ZX700.5... I am thinking about running the sub portion at 1 ohm and the speaker channels at 4 ohm. Someone on another forum stated it possibly could aversely affect sound quality of the speaker channels, would this be true?

i always thought that impedence rise went up more when competing, then when using test tones. since when using test tones it also draws more current, correct?

Well to a point, you are kinda on the right track...

With music you will never see 1500 watts out of a 1500 watt RMS amp. Music is dynamic, so the power put out by your amp(s) is constantly fluctuating, making impedance rise basically a non factor, because the input signal is changing. When competing with test tones...its a solid note, no real fluctuation in the input...making the impedance rise more noticeable...mostly only by the mic, not by the ear.

As far as what causes impedance rise...its not just the box, its not just the sub. Its how the two react together.

not really unless you have some weird design that has huge impeadance rise for a noticeable part of the banwith.
would this be considered a "weird" design?
