should i use 12 g or 14 g

Hey guys quick question, i have a mtx thunder 564, which puts out 70 x 4 going to 4 alpine spr-17ls. What gauge speaker wire should i use, 12, 14, or maybe even 16?

I would use 12 for just about anything, only thing is it cost more that 14 and 16 gauge

I use 14awg for my interior speakers which are powered by a 75w X 4 amp and 10awg for my sub.

Seems to work fine for me.

alright, thats what i thought. I just wanted to see if i could get away with 14 g with out loosing quality.
