hey guys i have 2 batteries in my car with the big 3 upgrade. red top in front and yellow top out back both grounded to chassis. right now im running 1/0 to the front red top and distributing off the front to the back battery with 4 gauge. my question is should i run 1/0 to the back instead of the front which i just use as a starting battery or is it sufficient the way it is now. I dont have a isolater in my car.

If you don't have an isolator in your car, you are using both batteries as starting batteries together. 4 gauge is pretty small for a long run that can draw decent current. I would run some 1/0.

that was wat i was thinking, it dawned on me this morning while i was in the shower-lol. Instead of using an isolater couldnt i run the back battery directly off the output terminal of the alternator and run the front using a seperate connection to the same alternator, would that seperate the two?
