i hate to ask this im not really for the type r hype but, i was watching some videos of those and dam*, they look nice, so i was thinking for 110$ i can get one with shipping, should i try it? if i like 1 then i would deff like 2 and i could sell the XXX and make a profit. and then work on three. i was wondering if 2 would be louder than my XXX? i really dont want to get rid of the XXX but i was just wondering.

i also saw on ebay the 15 is the same as the 2 12s in price

and i found type rs really cheap from finest deals, they are 60$ but shipping is 50$ so it =110$ but most other places charge 110+shipping. the place is finest deals, i bought my 860 from them and didnt have any problem

i like my ported 15xxx a lot better than the two sealed 15 type-rs that i heard recently.

the guys power and enclosure seemed to be a-ok. perhaps they just do not do well sealed.

dont know i saw a video of 1 type r 15 in a blazer he player a song and it registered 122db about 20ft away in a different car

My recommendation is to keep the XXX. Unlike the XXX, we have reported cases of random loss-Of-Magic-Smoke with Type Rs. Funny that a woofer rated at 500 watts would blow getting greater than double that. =\

Apart from that, knowledge is power. I'd say if you can get a hold of one, try it. Just do so without Phat Hertz bias.
