Should I Trade It

4-strokes have more "useable" power to me. the two strokes power band is harder to get into and you find your always riding with the throttle pinned. four stokes don't have that feeling at all, it's comes on much better. kinda hard to explain though. i found that i wrenched on 2-stokes way more than 4-strokes. plus with the new technology into the four strokes they are way better performing engines IMO. on top of that they are now coming with fuel injection which is awesome. having said that, i love the 4 strokes more. but one thing....you said your trading a warrior for a banshee. normally i would say keep the 4-stroke, but considering the machines we are talking about i would definitely take the banshee. you will have alot more fun on that than a warrior. the warrior is a dog compared to a banshee. it's like comparing a bicycle to a dirt bike.

I dont want FI because i have heard and had limited experience with the fact that FI's are a tad slower off the line than a carb motor. I wish i could go newer cuz id do the best of both worlds and get the Banshee 500 4 stroke. My warrior always runs smooth and barely gives me problems, i wish i knew someone around me with a banshee so i could ride it and see the difference.

Soloxgt - Can you elaborate. i rode a blaster today but i didnt do anything different then i would do on the warrior.
Comparing my Raptor to a banshee....they both required different riding styles A banshee is a totally different beast than a warrior. I do a fair amount of tight woods riding and they are two totally different monsters. Raptors are SUPER easy to ride, they have nasty torque in any gear. Banshee in the other hand has nasty torque too......just in a narrower range higher in the powerband making it a little more difficult to ride in tight woods unless you know what you are doing. Im not saying that a 4 stroke is better than a 2 stroke in any way...i'v seen a banshee do shit int tight woods and hills that I couldn't do with the raptor (Hatfield-Mccoy--im sure it rings a bell since you live in Virginia). i think 2 strokes need a little more throttle and clutch finesse than 4 strokes, but with time, it becomes natural and easier. A downside to a banshee is its HORRIBLE suspension compared to its same year counterparts. No matter what year banshee, it always had a sub-par suspension. Honestly, ride that warrior to the ground or sell it and get a suzuki z400. they are cheap, easy to ride, fun as hell and TONS of info and parts available. There are a shitton of nice 4-500cc quads out there now. Also keep in mind, most motor parts for banshees are 50-80% more money than most 4 stroke sport quads cuz it haas twice as many cylinders.....just food for thought.....banshees are pretty sweet though. I assume u do a lot of woods riding, mostly tighter and not super open? And why not get a 2 stroke dirtbike?? 250 2 stroke FTW for bikes...... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif hope it helps

Cuz with a dirtbike id rather have reliability, i can get a 250 4 stroke to run with a 250 2 stroke. I really want to stay in Yamaha with 4 wheelers, ive just always liked them. Where i ride at now its my mile long driveway and a small field and then down at my dads. I hope to find more places to ride with more idverse riding styles. Like tight woods, wide open fields, trails with mud and shit, jumps.

If you plan on riding in any state parks 2 strokes are no allowed. Yes maintenance is higher on the 2 strokes. Either get a yfz 450 or a raptor 700 efi, I have an 06 Raptor and just put a cam and exhaust on it and it was eating Banshees for lunch.
a stock banshee yes!!!! modded no!!!

i have a banshee, i havnt had to rebuild the top end for 2 years!!! it will be getting done after this riding season w/ a +4 stroker and ported more!!! i pound the piss out of mine and have no problems!!! its all in keeping up with maintenance, keepin shit greased and lubed, using the right oils and who did your work!!!!

BANSHEE's FTMFW!!!!

then get a used yammy 450 and call it a day. end of story. Even grizzlys are fun as hell to ride. Those things are like ****in Cadillacs. Raptors are fun, except dual carbs?!?!? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/nono.gif.eca61d170185779e0921b0faa9704973.gif not fun and a top heavy, but like i said....nasty torque and easy to ride

If you want reliability get a 2 stroke. When it comes time to rebuilt a 2 stroke compared to a 4 stroke it is way cheaper.

Plus they're way easier to work on. WIth a 4 stroke you've gotta check the valves, cam chain, do more oil changes, change oil filters.

2 strokes just mix the gas and ride
