Should I switch to 0ga or 2ga?

I'm thinking I should upgrade, I have JL Audio 4ga from my stock Batt and 250amp Alt running to my Kinetik HC1800 and JL 4ga from that to my amps and Im upgrading my Hifonics BXi1608D to a 2608D very soon. The amps are less than than 4ft from the Kinetik, will I be ok?

The gauge chart I have says that at a distance of 4' or less the 4 ga will handle 151-225 amps. I'm amazed that you only have 4ga wire running from your main batt to your rear battery. I'd strongly recommend upgrading the main power wire to 0/1 ga, the big 3 wires with the same 0/1 and then keeping 4 ga from the rear Kinetik to the amps should be ok.

I knew I should have I was alittle tight on cash but im gonna order some 0 ga from knu. If you were me would you run 0 ga from the kinetik to the amps as well?

if its only 4 feet away id do it, it isnt THAT much more money

youll notice a gain in voltage when you upgrade the wire going to the back from the front...that 4ga is holding you back.

then you can sell it on here, but i noticed its just easier to keep the extra wire, because you never know when you will buy a nice 4 channel and ned some 4ga to rewire......

If the amps accept 0/1 ga then go for it, but you should be ok with 4 ga too. The amps aren't that far away so you should be good. See how much wire you have left over and use what you can.

it's one of the better prices I've seen. I got an ebay store email for Audiopipe 0 ga, it's only $59.99 plus $24.85 shipping. The Knu wire is way cheaper and it's great wire. I have a couple runs of that right now.

I think the 2/0 ga wire is a lot more than he needs, if it was 0/2 then maybe.
