question.... how does it cause cancelation? Wouldn't this just be like putting 6x9's in a truck full pass, and having subs in the cab as well?

a 12" will put out different waves than a 10".

When making a multi sub system keep all subs the same Brand, Model, Size, and make sure they are enclosed the same too.

It is a bad idea to mix and match sub sizes. They will have different frequency responses (and likely different transient response and group delay), which will generally result in very poor sounding bass.

Trust me; been there, done that. Very very hard to get good results. You'd be much better off just upgrading to 3 12's. Why would you want to run a 10" with two 12's anyways?

Also not a very good plan to put the 3.5's under the front seats facing forward. Not sure why you would choose to do that.

Also not a very good idea to put the Blau's in the middle of the car. Would one speaker or a pair be down there? How are you running them, with a left and right signal?

It's your stereo....do as you please. No offense, but it honestly sounds like you could really use a better plan than what you currently have planned out. I'd scrap your whole plan and start fresh........

But if what you are doing works for you, go for it.

a pair in the center, but the audiobahn tweeters will be on the A-pillars. However i can always fade the center blau's out. But i know this setup is really wierd, I just want to try it, see/hear the differences for myself, and just remember that nothing is permanet. I will treat it as a learning expirence. I understand that they may have transient responses and different frequency response, but again, i want to see just it is, and what it sounds like. The 10" will be downfiring, and the 12's facing a completely different direction. The new news to me is that mixing sub sizes will cause cancellation, something that I am having a hard time thinking will happen. They subs aren't going to be inverted or anything, and they will be outputting the same frequencys(sub sonic set to 25-30hz and high pass at 100hz or so). I don't see how that would cause a problem, if so just maybe a small one. Oh well. I won't be making a worklog though, just maybe posting pics at the end.

Dont mix the sub sizes. When you run 6x9's full pass and have subs too, the sub bass cancels the bass from the 6x9's. So in that case it doesnt matter. In your case.. you just have sucky ideas. go with three twelves and stop arguing. If there are three or more people who tell you not to do it.. I would imagine that they know more than you do.
