lol, then do it and STFU.

KTHXBYE

I would either sell your sub or amp and buy a different one. Unless you want to try running the amp at 2 ohm and see what it does. But personally i would rather have 2 pieces of equipment that i was fully using.
well i never wanted to run 1000rms into the sub anyways i wanted half

well actualy 600rms is wat the amp actualy does at 4ohms bridged which is good enough

like i said i do know for a fact you can just use the voice coil 1 and thats it

so why would is ell anything if it works fine that way

Hey idiot i AM doing it but the reason i made this thread is because i didnt know if i should short the 2nd VC or not

im telling you short it.

you will have much better excursion and both coils wont have to break in just 1 will

if you want to short one of the coils just plug it into a wall socket it will be much quicker that way.

As long as you are aware that running one coil also changes the thiel smalls to your woofer and adequately account for this with box design....

You should be banned for being a ****ing idiot.
Look at your owners manual, and every other ****ing owners manual of a dual voice coil sub. They specifically say, you must hook up both voice coils.

But do your thing man.

YA IT ONLY SAYS THAT BECAUSE THE SUB IS RATED 1000rms at DUAL voice coils

id you only use one coil you be only geting 800rms or and if you pump 1000rms into a single coil then its not good thats why it says that you shouldnt do that

JUST FOR THAT REASON

Im not going to personally bash you but if you think that is the only reason subs have dual voice coils you probably shouldnt be anywhere near audio equipment.

There is also lots of false information on the internet. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
