95 Grand Marquis Install Questions

ok, so i'm going to do an install on my brothers car while he is on Spring Break in Alaska. I went out there yesterday, got the radio and dash kit in. I went to look for the best way to run the wires (4ga) from the battery to the trunk. I see no hole in the firewall (no big deal) and i have NO idea how to get the trim up at the bottoms of the doors. Or the kick panels, or the plate in front of the A/C controls (he wants the HU to go there).

anyone installed anything in this car before? tricks/tips?

thanks

O'RLY?

maybe theres a trick to it. mine has clips and you pull up they come out. i pull up on these, i come down... lol.

then take it to best buy //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/fyi.gif.9f1f679348da7204ce960cfc74bca8e0.gif

being an installer for that last 5 year's. i know for a fact i have done plenty of them... and allso being that i do so many car's i can never remember exactly how to take them apart untill i get back into one and look at how it would come apart... there not hard at all.. seriously just give it a good yank.. and dont fall over..

most of it is that they have been in place since 95.. so there not gunna go without a fight..

Very true, nothing in my car was easy to run, and I got a 04 Crown Vic. It just takes some prying at the edges to gently work various panels loose.

As far as the firewall, if there is not a spot right by the steering wheel yolk, check on the passenger side just above the kick panel to the left, I found another spot there, but it may or may not be the same in that Grand Marquis.

yea there will be a diffrence in that gromet firewall placement between those car's....

there should be a grommet on the drivers side firewall.. infact im sure there is just look harder..

Run it down the middle of the car.
then i have to get under the carpet. thats intimidating to me. i cant even get the trim panels loose... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

edit: i'm just gonna run it over the top of the car, and hide it with duct tape. should be pretty simple
